Solandra Lodge provides quality accommodation for people cycling the Otago Central Rail Trail or looking to experience the wonder of the Poolburn Reservoir, film site of Rohan.
Self contained accommodation is provided in the two storey lodge which can accommodate up to six people depending on configuration. The Lodge has been renovated to a high standard and includes all modern amenities such as a Data projector with home theatre system upstairs, Dish-drawer, Heat pumps etc.
You’ll find space here to relax and rejuvenate after a day cycling on the Rail Trail.
For those of you with young families, we’re family friendly and there are ten acres to explore, a tramp, sand pit and our children are willing playmates

CYCLING IN CENTRAL OTAGO
Central Otago provides a large number of cycling options, both on trail and off trail.
Omakau is 10 mins away from the lodge and located right on the Otago Central Rail Trail. From there you are within 13 km of the most popular section of the the Rail Trail, the Poolburn Gorge.

Poolburn is only 30 minutes from Clyde where you can ride the Lake Dunstan Trail, Roxburgh Gorge Trail or a delightful Clutha loop ride between Clyde and Alexandra.
